Hello-Agents

An open-source tutorial curriculum that teaches how to build AI agent systems from first principles, from foundational theory through production-grade multi-agent applications.

Hello-Agents

Hello-Agents is a complete, open-source curriculum for learning to build AI agent systems from scratch rather than only using existing agent frameworks. It takes a first-principles approach, implementing a full agent framework using the OpenAI native API so readers understand why agents work rather than only how to call an API.

The curriculum covers five parts: agent and LLM fundamentals, building a first LLM agent, advanced techniques including protocol-level coverage of MCP, A2A and ANP, real-world case studies, and a capstone. Every chapter includes tested, runnable code, and the material includes curated agent interview questions.

It can be read online, cloned and run locally with the accompanying Python code examples, or downloaded as a PDF.
