Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is an AI agent with a built-in learning loop. It creates skills after complex tasks, improves them during use, keeps agent-curated memory, and searches past sessions with full-text search and LLM summaries.

It works with many model providers, including Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI and custom endpoints, and switches models with one command. It has a full terminal UI and can be reached from Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal and the CLI through one gateway. A cron scheduler runs natural-language automations, and subagents handle parallel work.

It supports seven terminal backends, including local, Docker, SSH, Modal and Daytona. It is written in Python and MIT licensed.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
