Hermes Android
An Android client for the self-hosted Hermes Agent, letting a phone or tablet chat with Hermes sessions over local Wi-Fi or a private Tailscale network, with a merged community Remote Gateway transport.
Hermes Android connects to a Hermes Agent's Desktop Gateway over a JSON-RPC transport, supporting text, image and file attachments in one session, with copy/select text, read-aloud, edit-and-resend, regenerate, and export. Up to 10 attachments per draft are supported, capped at 64 MiB total for the newer Remote Gateway path; a legacy REST path is limited to one image.
It supports per-chat model and thinking-effort selection without changing the default profile, search, rename, branch and delete for remote conversations, native approval and clarification prompts, reasoning and tool-activity display, background-result and subagent-status notifications, and persistent reconnect with defensive retry handling; background notifications fire when a turn completes while the app is minimized. Production builds are signed with a private release keystore, with debug builds available under a separate package ID for testing. Against Hermes Agent releases that do not yet advertise turn-recovery, the app falls back to a legacy transport.
