# II Agent

An open-source, bring-your-own-key AI agent that builds mobile apps, websites, storybooks, research reports and slide decks from a prompt, and can be run, forked and extended without vendor lock-in.

II-Agent is an open-source AI agent built for real work, released entirely under the Apache 2.0 license. It runs with a user's own API keys, giving full control over cost and model providers, and can be forked and extended by a solo developer, a research team or an enterprise building internal tooling.

It can build mobile and website applications from a short prompt, generate fully illustrated picture books, and generate video and image content within one workflow, with a plan mode for visual project planning and live editing of websites, slides and storybooks. Its research features cover fast and deep multi-step investigations and interactive website generation from a research brief, complete with citations and embedded question-and-answer sections, and it supports multi-model chat, file attachments, a code interpreter, task planning, document and spreadsheet editing, and integrations with services such as Gmail, Slack, GitHub and Notion.

It runs locally with Docker, uv and Node.js, starting a backend, frontend, PostgreSQL, Redis and MinIO storage.
