Joanium

A local-first AI desktop assistant that runs scheduled jobs, replies through chat apps such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and Slack, and connects to real accounts like GitHub and Gmail without sending data to a hosted service.

Joanium

Joanium is a desktop AI agent that runs on the user's own machine and can act on files, run scheduled background jobs, and reply across multiple chat channels. An example given is a daily job that pulls GitHub issues, summarizes them and posts a priority list to Slack.

It supports more than ten model providers, including Gemini, Claude, GPT, Grok and Mistral, or fully offline models through Ollama or LM Studio. Background agents are reusable prompts that run on a schedule, such as code reviews or changelog monitoring. It connects to GitHub, Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Sheets and Docs as first-class tools rather than simple pass-throughs, supports the Model Context Protocol for further integrations, and can be given personas and markdown-based skills. It keeps long-term memory across conversations and scopes its context to a chosen project workspace.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
