Kotlin coding challenges

A set of Kotlin programming challenges with tests and multiple worked solutions, intended for practicing coding skills and preparing for technical interviews.

Kotlin coding challenges

Kotlin coding challenges is a repository of programming exercises meant to be solved in Kotlin, each provided with hints, one or more worked solutions and useful links. Its stated purpose is to help a developer practice coding and build problem-solving skills, including preparation for whiteboard-style coding interviews.

Each challenge sits in its own package with a README describing the task, a Challenge.kt file containing an empty method or class to fill in along with a set of JUnit tests that can be run directly from that file, and a Solution.kt file holding one or more finished solutions. Because most challenges admit several valid solutions, the project encourages comparing them by Big O time and space complexity as well as code readability.

Challenges are grouped by difficulty, from beginner exercises such as capitalizing a sentence or a linear search up through harder problems, and by problem type, with some challenges building on ones that should be solved first. It is released under the MIT license.
