# Lanes

A native macOS application that puts every AI coding-agent session on an issue board, giving each task its own terminal sessions, Git worktree and diff, so a developer running several agents at once can see what is running, blocked, waiting or shipped.

Lanes addresses the problem of losing track of several coding-agent sessions spread across terminal tabs by putting each task on a card on a board that moves through planning, implementation, review and done, with multi-select, labels, filters, dependencies with cycle detection, and separate board tabs scoped per project. Each card holds one or more PTY-backed terminal sessions, including a plan-mode session alongside the implementation runs it spawned, with live status, per-session token usage, and the ability to resume a session across restarts.

Every issue gets its own Git worktree with a generated branch name, uncommitted state shown in the status bar, and configurable setup and teardown scripts with automatic cleanup when the issue completes. A built-in Monaco editor with a file tree and a read-only SQL browser against any SQLite files found in the project let a developer check what an agent actually wrote without leaving the window, and a model gateway can point a session at Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, OpenRouter or z.ai. Claude Code and Codex sessions are detected and resumed directly; anything else runs as a plain shell session. It installs through Homebrew on macOS Ventura or later.
