Lean Builder

A Dart code-generation and build system, used as an alternative to the standard Dart build tools, aimed at faster incremental builds and a simpler configuration model.

Lean Builder

Lean Builder is a code-generation system for Dart that borrows some concepts from the standard Dart build system while aiming to be faster and easier to use. It resolves the build graph at generation time so errors surface early, avoids Dart mirrors so it can be compiled to native code, and processes work in parallel.

It offers a watch mode with hot reload for faster generator development, declarative builder configuration through annotations, and tracking of assets and dependencies across library, part and standard builders. It installs as a dev dependency through pub, runs from the command line with build, watch and clean commands, and offers multiple ways to write a generator, from a simple annotated-class generator to a fully custom builder. The project is in active development and its API is considered stable, though not yet fully tested.
