LibreTranslate

A free, open-source machine translation API that runs entirely self-hosted, using the open-source Argos Translate library instead of proprietary services such as Google or Azure.

LibreTranslate

LibreTranslate is a machine translation API that a developer hosts on their own infrastructure. It does not depend on proprietary translation services such as Google or Azure: its translation engine is the open-source Argos Translate library, and it can run offline.

The project provides API documentation, a quickstart, usage instructions and an online instance to try it. It is written in Python and released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.
