# LinuxMint Scripter

A single-file web app that turns natural-language requests into ready-to-run Bash or Python scripts and terminal commands tailored to Linux Mint 22.3, talking directly from the browser to a local or cloud LLM API with the user's own key.

LinuxMint Scripter is one HTML file, with no build step and no framework, that translates natural-language requests into Bash or Python 3 scripts, or standalone terminal commands, for Linux Mint 22.3. Its system prompt is built around specifics that distinguish Mint from generic Ubuntu/GNOME, such as the Nemo file manager, disabled snaps, Flatpak availability and `mintupdate-cli`, and it is explicitly told not to present a generic Ubuntu/GNOME script as Mint-specific.

It talks to a local API such as LM Studio or Ollama, any server or API compatible with the OpenAI or Anthropic formats, or a cloud provider such as OpenRouter, Groq, Mistral, Google or Hugging Face, using the user's own key; there is no intermediate server, and connection, storage and encryption all happen inside the browser.

Beyond generation, it runs an iterative review, chaining several audit-and-correct passes over a full script, inspired by plan-apply-verify loops from agentic coding, and offers a line-by-line verification mode that explains a script before it runs.
