LiveAgent

A local-first AI agent desktop client that can read and write files, run shell commands and manage scheduled tasks on your machine, extendable through MCP servers and Skills packages, with an optional remote gateway for browser access.

LiveAgent

LiveAgent is a desktop client for running an AI agent locally that goes beyond chat: it can operate the file system, run Bash commands, make precise edits, and supervise long-running or scheduled processes on the machine it runs on. It routes to Claude, Codex or Gemini protocols with support for custom base URLs to reach third-party compatible services, and renders replies with streaming Markdown, KaTeX math and Mermaid diagrams.

Its ecosystem is extended through the Model Context Protocol for bridging external tools and through loadable Skills packages, and an optional Gateway component allows the same agent to be controlled remotely from any browser rather than only from the local desktop app.

It is written in TypeScript and released under the MIT license.
