Makra

A Python and JavaScript SDK for the Makra web-extraction API, which reads a URL remotely against a supplied schema and returns the requested data as structured JSON.

Makra

Makra is the official client for the Makra web-extraction API, described as a memory layer between the web and AI agents. A caller passes a URL and a schema describing the fields to extract as short text descriptions, such as a product name, price and URL, and Makra reads the page remotely and returns the API's response as structured JSON without unwrapping or imposing an additional response model.

The SDK supports a synchronous extract call that returns the full result, a schema inspection call to test an extraction shape before committing to it, a streaming variant that emits server-sent lifecycle events, and a submit and poll interface that returns a run handle a caller can wait on, stream, or cancel from another process using a stored run ID. The repository contains the Python and JavaScript SDKs, their shared language-neutral contract, and a Python playground for trying a local API gateway.

An API key is required, set through an environment variable.
