# MCP for Adobe Premiere Pro

An independent, local-first MCP server that connects Claude, Cursor, Codex, and other MCP clients to Adobe Premiere Pro through a local CEP bridge, exposing hundreds of tools for AI-assisted editing, project organization, and export checks.

This MCP server lets an AI assistant control Adobe Premiere Pro through Adobe's own documented UXP and CEP/ExtendScript APIs: importing media, editing timelines, applying effects, managing keyframes, and exporting, so a request such as adding B-roll with cross dissolves and matching color correction can be carried out directly in a real project. Its development source spans 384 core tools across 57 modules, plus resources and guided workflows, with a connected UXP host adding nearly a hundred further capability-gated tools, and it can preview and import a finished After Effects render into an existing Premiere bin with host and file rechecks.

It is free, MIT licensed, and published to npm, positioned as an independent, unofficial project rather than an Adobe product. It works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, and other MCP-compatible clients, and can also be deployed remotely.

Claude Desktop is documented as the easiest supported path to a first proof that the bridge is working before making a first edit.
