MCPA Exam Prep
A community study guide for the Model Context Protocol Associate certification from the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation, covering every exam domain with a weighted study plan and practice questions.
MCPA Exam Prep is a study guide, built with the Astro Starlight documentation framework, that walks a candidate through the Model Context Protocol Associate certification: a 120-minute, remotely proctored, multiple-choice exam with no formal prerequisites, valid for two years, that includes one included retake. The guide covers all five exam domains, weighted by how much of the exam they represent, from MCP fundamentals and architecture through interaction and execution, security and governance, and use cases and ecosystem, with the interaction and security domains together making up half the exam.
It recommends starting with an overview of the exam's format, following a four-week study plan built around the domain weights with hands-on exercises each week, working through each domain's competency pages for key concepts and exam tips, testing with practice questions, and reviewing an exam-day checklist. It can be read on its published site or run locally with npm.
