NEOTH
A local-first personal AI daemon in Rust with five memory tiers, consent-gated tools, a WASM plugin sandbox, multi-provider model routing and signed audit logs, aimed at people who want both a daily assistant and a serious coding helper.
NEOTH is a personal AI system that runs on the user's own machine as a Rust daemon, built around one memory shared across three interaction paths, with five memory tiers plus a user-controlled vault. It remembers what the user approves, connects to the user's own tools, and is intended to help with both daily tasks and coding work, keeping a signed audit log of its governed, sensitive actions with documented exceptions in its threat model.
It can be operated through a graphical interface with no configuration-file editing required, or through a command-line interface where the project states that every capability claim has a corresponding command that demonstrates it. At the time of writing, the project has not yet published a signed 1.0 release or crates.io package, so installation is from a source checkout, and its internal Rust library API is not yet frozen; a separately versioned plugin software development kit is the intended stable extension point once a release ships.
