Neuron

A PHP framework for building and orchestrating agentic AI applications, connecting LLMs, tools, vector databases and memory into agents with event-driven workflows, human-in-the-loop steps, streaming and MCP support.

Neuron

Neuron is a PHP framework for creating and orchestrating AI agents inside PHP applications. It covers the whole agentic application lifecycle: interfaces to large language models, data loading, multi-agent orchestration, and monitoring and debugging of running agents.

Its core abstraction is an event-driven Workflow with checkpointing, which supports human-in-the-loop approval steps, interruption, multi-agent coordination, streaming responses, agentic UI protocols such as AG-UI and the Vercel AI SDK, MCP connectors, and asynchronous execution; the same Workflow that runs a first simple agent in the getting-started guide can grow into a multi-agent system with state, loops and human approvals in production without switching frameworks.

Around the core framework there is a registry of extensions and tools built specifically for Neuron-based agentic applications. It is written in PHP and released under the MIT license.

  • Recurse

    recurse.run

A serverless harness that lets a coding agent design, test, and deploy its own specialist sub-agents as tools, MCP servers, or bots, defined by a schema-validated manifest.

  • ProofForge

    shulgin.is-a.dev

An AI-agent pipeline that decomposes a mathematics problem, proves each piece, and formalizes the result in Lean 4 and Mathlib until the Lean kernel accepts it, with six of its proofs already merged into Google DeepMind's formal-conjectures repository.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
