# NimbleBrain

A self-hosted platform for MCP Apps and agent automations that turns an installed MCP connector into an interactive sidebar UI with live agent data sync, runnable on demand or on a cron schedule.

NimbleBrain lets a person install an MCP connector and get more than a set of callable tools: it also provides an interactive UI in the sidebar with live data synced from the running agent, and the ability to trigger that agent on demand or on a recurring cron schedule, all driven by an agentic loop with skill-driven prompt composition. It also exposes itself as an MCP server over Streamable HTTP, so external MCP clients can consume its aggregated set of tools from every connected app.

It ships as container images and is started with Docker Compose, requiring only an Anthropic API key to bring up its API and web UI, or can be run from source with Bun and Node.js for local development with auto-restart on file changes. Every route that acts on a specific workspace names that workspace in its URL path, and every other route acts only on the caller's own conversations or files, rejecting a request that names a workspace incorrectly or references a conversation outside the caller's own workspace.
