noBS STATS Notebooks

A companion set of computational notebooks, exercises and projects for the "No Bullshit Guide to Statistics" book, meant to be run in JupyterLab rather than only read.

noBS STATS Notebooks

noBS STATS Notebooks is the hands-on companion to the "No Bullshit Guide to Statistics" book, built on the idea that reading about statistics is not enough without experimenting with real examples and data. It can be launched as an ephemeral JupyterLab instance through a Binder link, with no local setup needed to start working through the material.

The repository is organized into the datasets used in the book's examples and exercises, notebooks that accompany each section, a complete worked example covering data, probability, statistics and linear models, routine practice exercises, and planned sections for harder problems and multi-step projects, plus tutorials introducing Python, Pandas and Seaborn for readers new to them. It also includes the utility notebooks used to generate the book's own datasets and figures, and depends on pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, SciPy and statsmodels, installable from a requirements file.
