# Nova3D

An open-source client for generating editable, part-aware 3D assets from text or reference images, where each generated object is a Blender Python program with named, separately addressable parts rather than a single fused mesh.

Nova3D generates 3D assets as executable construction procedures rather than a single opaque mesh. The generation pipeline writes Blender-native Python code that compiles into a structured GLB file with named, independently addressable parts, a real assembly hierarchy, joint pivots, and physically based materials, so the program is the asset's source of truth and the mesh is only its compiled output.

Because each part is addressable and the construction steps are explicit, a generated object can be inspected, edited, regenerated, restyled, or animated after the fact, which the project contrasts with diffusion-based generators that produce a single merged mesh with no part boundaries, and with CSG or OpenSCAD systems that guarantee solid geometry but struggle with organic shapes and material hierarchy.

The open-source parts of the project are a web client and a Blender add-on; the hosted generation backend they connect to is currently closed source. The client is written in Dart with Flutter.
