# Nubase

Nubase is a self-hostable, AI-native backend platform that an AI coding agent can drive directly over MCP to model data, deploy backend logic, publish a generated frontend and schedule recurring work, combining database, auth, storage and memory in one service.

Nubase packages eight capability modules, database, authentication, storage, static assets, functions, an AI gateway, memory and scheduled jobs, into one self-hostable backend, in a Supabase-style shape built on Postgres, REST, JWTs, row-level security and object storage, with a Studio dashboard.

An agent connects to it through installed skills and an MCP server: it can model data through the database and auth modules, deploy backend logic through functions, publish a generated frontend to a CDN through assets, and schedule recurring work through cron, all without a separate hosting account. The all-in-one Docker image bundles PostgreSQL, Redis, the backend and Studio together, and first-boot secrets are generated into a persistent data volume.

Nubase is written in Java, and the project is set up to connect directly from Claude Code or Codex with a single install command.
