OAuth2 Authorization Server with Spring Boot 4 and Java 26

A reference OAuth2 authorization server built with Spring Boot 4 and Java, wired up with MariaDB, Redis, OpenTelemetry tracing, and optional AI advisor integrations through Ollama, for developers to run and test locally.

OAuth2 Authorization Server with Spring Boot 4 and Java 26

This project is a reference implementation of an OAuth2 authorization server built with Spring Boot 4 and Java, intended to be run and tested locally rather than deployed as-is. It integrates MariaDB for storage, Redis and Redis Insight for session and token caching, and Docker-based OpenTelemetry tracing through an LGTM stack.

It ships with a Postman collection and environment for exercising the OAuth2 flows through a Swagger UI, default accounts for developer, admin and user roles, and integration tests written with Testcontainers alongside unit tests using JUnit 5 and Mockito. Optional AI features connect to OpenAI, DeepSeek, Anthropic or Google models, or to a local Ollama instance for embeddings and retrieval-augmented generation, and the project documents how to attach a debugger to its Maven-run test suite.
