obsidian-skills

A set of agent skills that teach coding agents to work with Obsidian's CLI and its file formats, including Markdown, Bases and JSON Canvas.

obsidian-skills

obsidian-skills is a collection of agent skills for working with Obsidian vaults, built to the Agent Skills specification so they work with any compatible agent, including Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. It installs through a plugin marketplace command, the npx skills installer, or by copying the skills directory manually into an agent's skills folder.

The collection includes skills for creating and editing Obsidian-flavored Markdown with wikilinks, embeds, callouts and properties; for creating and editing Obsidian Bases files with views, filters, formulas and summaries; for creating and editing JSON Canvas files with nodes, edges and groups; for interacting with Obsidian vaults through the Obsidian CLI, including plugin and theme development; for extracting clean Markdown from web pages using a tool called Defuddle; and for rendering Markdown templates from JSON or CSV data using a tool called Knap.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
