OfficeCLI

A single-binary command-line Office suite built for AI agents to read, edit and create Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, without Microsoft Office installed.

OfficeCLI

OfficeCLI exposes commands that create, read, analyze, modify and reorganize .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files, letting an agent add or remove elements such as text, formulas, charts and images with a single command instead of writing many lines of code against separate document libraries. A built-in HTML rendering engine reproduces a document as HTML or a PNG image, so an agent, or a person, can render, look at, and fix a document in a loop. Word support includes internationalization and right-to-left layout, with per-script fonts, language tags and locale-aware page numbering for scripts such as Hindi, Arabic, Thai and CJK.

It installs itself as a skill into AI coding agents it detects, including Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and GitHub Copilot, after which an agent can create and edit Office documents without further configuration; a companion desktop app, AionUi, provides the same functionality through natural language for non-technical users.

It is written in C# and licensed under Apache-2.0.
