# OpenAxis

A macOS desktop app that combines chat, a multi-agent orchestrator, a code agent and a design tool in one sidebar, sharing memory, project context and a single local LLM proxy across Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Ollama, Gemini and other OpenAI-compatible providers.

OpenAxis puts five AI tools in one macOS window instead of separate silo apps with their own API keys and memory: a Chat panel, a Code panel running the OpenCode code-agent server, a Work panel (OpenWork, a structured project workspace), a Design panel (Open Design, for visual mockups) and an Orchestrator panel, plus a config panel, sharing memory and project context and encrypting provider keys locally once.

Given a plain-language request, such as building a landing page or auditing an API into an OpenAPI spec, the multi-agent orchestrator plans the work as an inspectable visual DAG of agents, each executing its part, research, writing, design, coding, verification, autonomously, with real-time progress and self-correction when a step fails. Chat works with Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Ollama, Google Gemini or any OpenAI-compatible provider, with session history, file attachments, automatic web search and reasoning controls.

Built with TypeScript and Electron; behind the scenes a single local LLM proxy on 127.0.0.1:9999 routes every panel through one OpenAI-compatible endpoint and applies a prompt-caching strategy that reaches roughly 99% cache-hit rates on DeepSeek models. MIT licensed; no Docker required.
