OpenManus

OpenManus is an open-source agent framework, built as a free alternative to the invite-only Manus agent, that gives a single agent web browsing, code execution and tool use from a plain-language goal.

OpenManus

It installs into a conda or uv-managed Python 3.12 environment and starts a browser-automation MCP server by default, attaching to a local Chrome or Chromium install automatically with no API key needed, or optionally to an isolated cloud browser once authenticated; a separate browser-testing toolkit can be used instead if its own Playwright browser is installed. Configuration lives in a TOML file naming the LLM provider, model, API key and a separate vision-model section.

A companion project, OpenManus-RL, applies reinforcement-learning methods such as GRPO to tune LLM agents, developed together with researchers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Python, MIT licensed.

    recurse.run

A serverless harness that lets a coding agent design, test, and deploy its own specialist sub-agents as tools, MCP servers, or bots, defined by a schema-validated manifest.

  • ProofForge

    shulgin.is-a.dev

An AI-agent pipeline that decomposes a mathematics problem, proves each piece, and formalizes the result in Lean 4 and Mathlib until the Lean kernel accepts it, with six of its proofs already merged into Google DeepMind's formal-conjectures repository.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
