openstatus

An open-source status page and uptime-monitoring platform that treats monitors and pages as code, checked from many regions and operable from a CLI, Terraform, or an MCP server.

openstatus

openstatus is an open-source platform combining uptime monitoring with status pages, so a team does not need to wire up a separate monitoring service. Monitors, status pages and notification channels are declared in YAML or Terraform and applied from the CLI or CI, and can also be read and updated by an AI agent over its MCP server.

Monitoring checks run in parallel from 28 global regions across three cloud providers, and status pages support custom domains, password protection, maintenance windows, and subscriber notifications by email and RSS; incidents can also notify through Slack, Discord, PagerDuty and other channels.

It is available as a managed service or self-hosted, is licensed under AGPL-3.0, and its private-locations component runs from an 8.5MB Docker image.
