# Paneflow

A native desktop workspace for running several coding agents side by side in real terminal panes, with a diff view, file browser and a read-only MCP bridge so one agent can inspect another's output.

Paneflow is a native workspace for coding agents, working with any CLI agent such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or opencode. A rail lists every open repository, and each tab is an agent session bound to its own branch or worktree, showing the agent's live state as thinking, waiting, failed or done. Inside a session, the agent runs in a real terminal pane the developer can read, interrupt or take over, with a dock beside it showing the checkout's diff against its base branch, a file editor with git markers, and a plain terminal.

Everything runs locally: agents are ordinary command-line processes, with no hosted runtime or proxy in front of the model, and prompts are pre-filled for the developer to submit rather than sent automatically unless auto-submit is explicitly turned on. An optional local, read-only MCP bridge lets one agent list, read and search another agent's pane, with terminal output passed back as untrusted data, and a companion command-line tool can list, read, send to or wait on panes from a script.

It is written in Rust on Zed's GPUI, with terminal panes emulated by Ghostty's engine, and ships native builds for Linux, macOS on Apple Silicon and Windows.
