Phone Harness

A tool that lets a coding agent control a real iPhone or Android phone by reading the screen and simulating taps and typing.

Phone Harness

Phone Harness connects a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex to a real phone. On iPhone it works through the Mac's iPhone Mirroring window; on Android it works over adb from macOS, Linux, or Windows. No jailbreak or Xcode is required and nothing needs to be installed on the phone itself.

The agent reads the phone's screen, finds text and elements, taps, types, and reads back the result to decide its next step, using pre-imported helper functions documented in a guide file. A doctor command checks that pairing and permissions are set up correctly. A hosted cloud option offers rented Android phones reached over adb, with the first 100 minutes free, so the same helpers work without owning a physical device.

Phone Harness is written in Python and released under the MIT license.
