Pocketrb

A small Ruby AI agent framework with an async message bus, multiple LLM providers, CLI, Telegram and WhatsApp channels, scheduling, browser automation, and separate memory personas per workspace.

Pocketrb

Pocketrb runs an AI agent from the command line or as a bot on Telegram or WhatsApp, backed by a message-bus architecture with proper tool-use handling and asynchronous processing. It supports Claude through its API, a Max or OAuth login, or the Claude CLI, as well as OpenRouter, other OpenAI-compatible APIs, and RubyLLM, and can process images sent to it as well as documents.

Its feature set includes a planning system, context compaction for long sessions, a runtime skills system, headless Chromium browser automation with session management, and cron-based scheduling for automated tasks. A persona system separates an agent's memory and identity from the workspace it operates in, so the same workspace can be driven by different portable personalities, and an autonomous mode skips permission prompts for sandboxed or containerized environments. It installs as a Ruby gem and stores memory as JSON with keyword matching, without external dependencies.

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
