PRISM

PRISM is a plug-in, reproducible toolbox for training and evaluating multimodal large language models under multimodal continual instruction tuning, the problem of learning a sequence of tasks without catastrophic forgetting of earlier ones. A single entry point orchestrates sequential task training, inference and evaluation across multiple benchmarks and continual-learning methods.

New continual-learning strategies can be added as independent plugins without changing the underlying model code, and it currently supports three benchmarks and twelve continual-learning methods spanning rehearsal, regularization, prompt-based, LoRA-based and mixture-of-experts approaches, alongside a zero-shot baseline. It is written in Python and MIT licensed, and accompanies a series of published research papers.

A continual learning language model that trains from scratch on a single 8 GB VRAM GPU, assembling its own architecture and adapting its size to the hardware and data available rather than shipping as a fixed pretrained model.

  • An open-source contrastive-embedding pipeline that maps technical CVE vulnerability descriptions to formal cybersecurity compliance controls in NIST SP 800-53 and CMMC, published with its model generation, fine-tuning and evaluation code.

A small vision-language model, fine-tuned with LoRA on a 500-million-parameter backbone, that answers typed multiple-choice, ordinal-score and yes/no questions about an image with calibrated probabilities, in about 400 milliseconds on a laptop.
