# Project M.Y.T.H.A.R.A

An open-source, local-first agentic AI layer for Android, sideloaded as a single app, that acts on the phone through more than 65 tools while keeping personal data on the device.

Mythara runs a built-in agent loop that can perceive, decide and act through more than 65 tools on the phone -- calls, SMS, WhatsApp, calendar, alarms, shell access, Termux, file I/O and face recognition among them -- built around a local model of the user's own personality, values, preferences and relationships derived from their real conversations rather than a vendor-supplied persona.

It responds with tone-aware, markdown-rich text and a theme-driven color scheme, including a music mode that renders replies in a constructed tonal language, and takes input through a push-to-talk control with haptic feedback. A skill suggester learns repeated tool chains, a context-budget guard summarizes history, and a plan executor decomposes longer tasks; a brand mark in the interface pulses with the user's heart rate through Health Connect. Everything Mythara learns stays on the device unless a remote model is explicitly enabled for chat, and it is written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose.
