rage

rage is a file encryption tool and Rust library implementing the age format, designed to be simple and secure with small explicit keys, no configuration options, and Unix-style composability so it works well with other command-line tools. Files can be encrypted to multiple recipients by repeating a recipient flag or by listing recipients in a file, and any listed recipient can decrypt the result.

It supports hardware security keys such as YubiKeys through a plugin, and is available through package managers including Cargo, Homebrew, MacPorts, and several Linux distribution repositories, as well as pre-built binaries for Windows, Linux, and macOS. A reference interoperable implementation of the same age format exists in Go.
