# RhinoMCP

RhinoMCP connects Rhino 3D and Grasshopper to AI agents through MCP, so an assistant such as Claude or Cursor can model geometry, read the current document, capture the viewport for visual feedback, and build or edit Grasshopper definitions from plain language.

RhinoMCP connects Rhino 3D and Grasshopper to AI agents through the Model Context Protocol, letting an assistant such as Claude or Cursor build geometry, read the current document, and script Grasshopper definitions from plain-language requests. It captures the viewport so the assistant can see what is actually on screen and respond to it.

In Rhino, it can create points, curves, boxes, spheres and other primitives individually or in batches, transform and edit objects, perform advanced operations such as lofting, extruding, sweeping and boolean operations, manage layers and attributes, inspect and filter a selection, and measure length, area, volume and bounding boxes; when more control is needed, it can run native Rhino commands, RhinoScript-Python or RhinoCommon C# directly. A single plugin and one configuration entry cover both Rhino and Grasshopper, and the project targets Rhino 8 on Windows and macOS.
