# Scope Recall

A bounded, local long-term memory system for the Hermes, Codex and Claude Code agents, backed by SQLite as the authority with rebuildable vector search alongside it, letting a user inspect, correct or delete anything it remembers.

Scope Recall gives an AI agent host adapters, for Hermes, and a shared adapter of hooks and an MCP server for Codex and Claude Code, that write and read facts from a local SQLite store rather than a cloud service. Multiple agents and hosts can share one store, each attaching as an entry so a fact says which agent it came in through, while an agent that is not attached keeps its own separate store; a tool's raw output is still kept and searchable without necessarily being turned into a stored fact.

The project describes its own limits directly: an internal test suite of roughly 2,300 tests checks contracts, storage and host wiring, but does not measure recall quality, and every accuracy figure it reports so far was measured by the authors on their own data with no independent, repeatable benchmark, which the project lists as unfinished work. A schema migration moved the store from a 2.0.1 layout through a substantial rewrite, cutting production code from over 140,000 lines to under 50,000 while changing how facts are extracted from raw evidence.
