# SEC EDGAR MCP

An MCP server that gives AI assistants structured access to SEC EDGAR filings, financial statements and insider-trading data, with exact numeric precision and links back to the source filing.

SEC EDGAR MCP connects AI assistants to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system, building on the sec-edgar-toolkit library. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the SEC. Tools are grouped into company lookup (CIK lookup, company info and facts), filing retrieval (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, with section extraction), financial statements parsed from XBRL (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and insider-trading Form 3/4/5 transactions, and every response includes the underlying SEC filing URL for verification.

It runs as a Docker container over stdio by default, or as a streamable-HTTP server for platforms such as Dify; it also ships a Promptfoo-based evaluation suite.
