Serverless Offline

A plugin for the Serverless Framework that emulates AWS Lambda and API Gateway on a local machine, so a serverless project's handlers can be tested without deploying to AWS.

Serverless Offline

Serverless Offline starts an HTTP server that reproduces the request lifecycle of AWS API Gateway and invokes a project's own Lambda handlers locally, speeding up the development cycle for serverless applications. It supports Lambda runtimes for Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, and JVM languages including Java, Kotlin, Groovy, and Scala.

It supports Velocity templates, lazy loading of handler files, token, custom, remote, and JWT authorizers, custom headers and response parameters, CORS, catch-all path variables, WebSocket routes, and Docker-based Lambda layers. It is installed as a plugin declared in a project's serverless.yml file and run with the serverless or sls command.

It is written in JavaScript and released under the MIT license.
