# Simulink Agentic Toolkit

A toolkit that gives an AI coding agent both the MCP tools and the Model-Based Design knowledge to read, build, edit and test Simulink models correctly.

The Simulink Agentic Toolkit connects an AI coding agent to Simulink through the MATLAB MCP Server, giving it both MCP tools for reading, editing, querying, testing, and checking Simulink models, and Agent Skills that encode Model-Based Design best practices for model building, simulation, plant specification, testing, requirements, project management, and architecture modeling. Its stated goal is to prevent an AI agent from hallucinating Simulink behavior, missing newer features, or taking extra steps an experienced Simulink user would skip.

Setup is automated by a MATLAB function that installs the MATLAB MCP Server, configures the chosen agent, and registers the skills; installing the companion MATLAB Agentic Toolkit in the same step is recommended. It supports Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Amp, and Gemini CLI, and requires MATLAB R2023a or later with Simulink; some skills need additional toolboxes such as Simulink Test, System Composer, Simscape, or Stateflow.

The project's license is not asserted in its repository metadata.
