Smart Tree

A directory-visualization command-line tool, written in Rust, built for AI context: compressed output for feeding into a model, semantic search, symbol-aware editing, and a scanner for supply-chain attacks on MCP integrations.

Smart Tree

Smart Tree shows a directory as a tree, like the classic Unix tool it replaces, but adds features aimed at AI-assisted development: a compression format for representing a large tree compactly enough to fit in a model's context, an MCP server exposing more than 30 tools, and AST-aware code editing. An interactive menu gives access to a spicy terminal-UI file browser with fuzzy search, a terminal interface with AI context, a browser-based file explorer, and an HTTP daemon combining the MCP server, an LLM proxy and its custodian component.

A security scanner is intended to detect supply-chain attacks targeting AI coding assistants, inspecting certificates for their subject, issuer, serial number, fingerprint, validity dates and alternative names without verifying chain trust or revocation, and reporting malformed or skipped files explicitly; a cleanup command scans for and removes malicious AI integrations it finds. It installs through a one-line shell script for Linux, macOS or WSL, offering a precompiled or compiled build, or through Cargo now that it is published on crates.io.

A set of Unix coreutils-style filters — grep, sort, cut and more — that answer a plain-language question about each record instead of matching a pattern, using a small decision model.

  • A Node.js script that exports a Google Doc to HTML and CSS with high fidelity, preserving headings, spacing, alignment, bullet lists, images and right-to-left text.

  • gpusched

    github.com

A VRAM-aware GPU job scheduler for a single machine: declare how much memory each shell command needs, and it places jobs the moment a GPU has room and reports when a guess was wrong.
