smarttune-cli

A command-line flight-log analyzer and PID/FFT tuning advisor for ArduPilot, Betaflight and PX4 flight controllers, designed to be driven by an AI agent and to validate every parameter recommendation against real firmware parameter tables before returning it.

smarttune-cli

SmartTune CLI takes a raw flight log from ArduPilot, Betaflight or PX4 and produces tunable PID, FFT and MagFit parameter recommendations without requiring a special test flight. ArduPilot step-response analysis replicates the WebTools PIDReview tool through Wiener deconvolution, and Betaflight blackbox logs are parsed by a pure-Python decoder with no C extensions or Node.js dependency; all three platforms' logs are normalized into one shared data structure so analyzers work identically across them.

It is built for LLM agent tool-calling workflows: output is deterministic and structured as JSON by default, with no interactive prompts or progress bars when piped to a file, errors use standardized codes, and each analysis module fails in isolation rather than aborting the whole run. A --validate flag checks every recommended parameter change against real firmware parameter tables before it reaches the user.

It runs fully offline, with no network calls, API keys or rate limits, and a plain-JSON knowledge base under ~/.smarttune/knowledge/ that an agent can read and propose new rules for.

A set of Unix coreutils-style filters — grep, sort, cut and more — that answer a plain-language question about each record instead of matching a pattern, using a small decision model.

  • A Node.js script that exports a Google Doc to HTML and CSS with high fidelity, preserving headings, spacing, alignment, bullet lists, images and right-to-left text.

A VRAM-aware GPU job scheduler for a single machine: declare how much memory each shell command needs, and it places jobs the moment a GPU has room and reports when a guess was wrong.
