SmythOS Runtime Environment (SRE)

An open-source, cloud-native runtime, SDK, and CLI for agentic AI that gives every AI resource, such as an LLM, vector database, storage, or cache, one unified API across providers so agent logic can be written once and run anywhere.

SmythOS Runtime Environment (SRE)

SmythOS Runtime Environment (SRE) is an open-source runtime and SDK for production AI agents, providing OS-level abstractions for AI resources, such as LLMs, vector databases, storage, and caching, behind one unified API that works the same across providers. The stated goal is to let a developer write agent logic once and scale it to any provider, with built-in security, observability, and more than 40 production-ready components.

Every resource in SmythOS is exposed through the same kind of consistent interface, whether storing a file locally or on S3, calling a vector database, a cache such as Redis or in-memory RAM, or an LLM from OpenAI or Anthropic, so switching between providers for any of these services does not require changing the calling code.

A separate open-source SmythOS Visual Agent Studio provides a drag-and-drop interface for people who prefer building agents visually instead of with code.

    recurse.run

A serverless harness that lets a coding agent design, test, and deploy its own specialist sub-agents as tools, MCP servers, or bots, defined by a schema-validated manifest.

  • ProofForge

    shulgin.is-a.dev

An AI-agent pipeline that decomposes a mathematics problem, proves each piece, and formalizes the result in Lean 4 and Mathlib until the Lean kernel accepts it, with six of its proofs already merged into Google DeepMind's formal-conjectures repository.

  • local-coder

    github.com

Builds a local coding-agent team on top of Ollama and OpenCode by detecting the machine's hardware, recommending models for seven specialist roles, and testing whether each assigned model can actually use tools, edit a repository and pass verification.
