Spec-Driven Development Workflow

A skill-first, spec-driven development workflow for AI coding assistants that guides them through defining intent, planning demoable tasks, executing with checkpoints, and validating against the spec.

Spec-Driven Development Workflow

This workflow installs as a single agent skill that reassesses a repository's state each time it is invoked and continues from artifacts already saved under a docs/specs directory, so a user does not need to remember four separate phase commands; for harnesses without skill support it can instead install as separate phase-based prompt files.

Its four phases define intent by generating a reviewed spec with clear demo criteria, plan work by breaking it into demoable tasks and subtasks and running a planning audit gate, execute with checkpoints and proof artifacts, and validate the implementation against the spec with evidence. The skill is explicit-invocation only, meant to be triggered deliberately rather than loaded or triggered automatically, and is licensed Apache-2.0.

  • Provenance gate

    github.com

A deterministic authorization gateway that sits between an AI agent and its tools, tracing where each parameter of a side-effect call came from, and blocking the call or asking a human when the source does not check out.

  • A markdown framework of system rules that restates Isaac Asimov's Four Laws of Robotics as a set of prioritized loss calculations for large-language-model agents to follow, published as a discovery file for agents and crawlers to read.

  • Vitruvius

    github.com

An engineering research agent that runs a discover, read, synthesize, verify and review loop over technical questions, reading sources directly rather than inferring from titles, and publishing its own scored verifier benchmark, weaknesses included.
