Stakpak
An open-source agent that runs continuously on your own machines to keep applications running, generate infrastructure code, debug Kubernetes and automate deployments, only pinging a human when it needs one.
Stakpak is an open-source agent that lives on a user's machines around the clock, keeping applications running and only notifying a human when it needs one, aiming to give the convenience of a managed platform without the lock-in. It can generate infrastructure code, debug Kubernetes, configure CI/CD, and automate deployments.
It is built with secret substitution so the underlying LLM works with credentials without ever seeing them, network-level guardrails that block destructive operations before they run, and a curated library of DevOps knowledge baked into its rulebooks. An autopilot mode runs the agent continuously in the background; a doctor command checks deployment readiness before first boot, and running it on a remote VM requires Docker, at least 2GB of RAM, and swap space on small hosts. Configuration is split between a profile file that controls model, allowed tools, auto-approval and system prompt, and a separate file for schedules, notification channels and server settings.
It is written in Rust under the Apache 2.0 license.
