# Stockbit MCP

An unofficial MCP server exposing Stockbit market data for the Indonesian stock exchange, including quotes, top movers, orderbook, fundamentals, sentiment and a read-only portfolio view, to Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients.

Stockbit MCP gives an MCP client access to Stockbit market data, analysis, chart drawing, a read-only view of a linked brokerage portfolio, and simulated trading; the current build has had its real buy, sell, amend, cancel and e-IPO subscription tools and their underlying HTTP routes removed entirely, and old live-trading settings fail closed with no switch to restore real execution. Deposits and withdrawals are not supported, and the project states plainly that this is a technical boundary rather than a claim of regulatory approval.

Sign-in happens on Stockbit's own login page rather than through the assistant, and credentials are saved locally in the OS keychain or an encrypted file fallback; a Chromium-family browser is required for login and interactive chart drawing. It supports Claude Desktop through a locally launched stdio server and can be built as a local Claude Desktop extension, while ChatGPT requires a supported secure MCP tunnel or a properly secured remote deployment rather than a local file path.

It is written in TypeScript, is unofficial and unaffiliated with Stockbit or the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and is released under the MIT license.
