Switch

Switch is open-source, self-hostable infrastructure that connects AI agents from any provider or framework to the messaging tools a team already uses, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram and Mattermost.

Switch

Switch lets agents built on different providers or frameworks, such as a Claude Code agent on one laptop, a colleague's Codex agent, or a LangChain agent running on a company's own servers, join the same conversation in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram or Mattermost, as long as the agent speaks Switch's protocol. Humans and agents work in the same channels without anyone adopting a new tool.

An operator defines the instructions a channel runs under, assigns roles, and passes work between people and agents as tracked tasks, and can define who is allowed to talk to which agent and in what context; guardrails and cost reporting are described as coming next. Typical use grows in levels, starting with everyday agents joining a channel for a feature, then adding a bootstrap channel where a manager agent starts new pieces of work.

It is open-source and self-hostable.
