Termux Studio

A no-root Android build toolchain for Termux that compiles, signs, installs and launches real APK files entirely on an Android phone, bundling a native aarch64 aapt2 and a CLI/TUI that wraps Gradle, adb and multi-JDK management.

Termux Studio

Termux Studio turns a stock Android phone into a self-contained Android development machine, bundling a self-built native aarch64 aapt2 that can parse modern SDK 35 through 37 resources.arsc files, which Termux's own packaged aapt2 cannot handle. A studio command runs Gradle builds with the right toolchain, installs and launches the built APK over wireless adb or the system installer, and manages multiple installed JDK versions per project's Gradle and Android Gradle Plugin requirements.

Other features include release signing with keystore creation and alias selection, automatic renaming of release APKs, sharing a built APK through the Android share sheet, cloning a repository with an adapter that reversibly adjusts its Gradle version, SDK levels, AGP and JDK to build under Termux without altering the committed project files, an interactive terminal UI that remembers the last open project, and a generator that scaffolds a new Compose or XML/Views project.

No PC, Android Studio or root access is required.
