Terramate

An open-source orchestration and code-generation engine that scales Infrastructure-as-Code projects using Terraform, OpenTofu, Terragrunt, or Kubernetes.

Terramate

Terramate CLI orchestrates and generates code for Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Terragrunt, and Kubernetes as a project grows. It splits large, monolithic state into smaller stacks to limit blast radius and improve collaboration, generates shared backend and provider configuration to reduce duplication, and uses a graph-based engine to run commands like a Terraform apply only in stacks with detected changes.

It can be paired with the optional Terramate Cloud service for observability, drift detection, misconfiguration detection, and GitOps automation that turns an existing CI/CD platform such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD into an infrastructure deployment pipeline. It is designed to onboard onto an existing IaC project with a single command, without needing access to state backends, code, or cloud accounts, and without vendor lock-in.
