VoltAgent
An AI agent engineering platform combining an open-source TypeScript framework for building agents with memory, tools and workflows, and a console for observability, evaluation and deployment.
VoltAgent is an AI agent engineering platform made of two parts: an open-source TypeScript framework for building agents with memory, retrieval-augmented generation, guardrails, tools, MCP and voice, and the VoltOps Console, available as a cloud or self-hosted service, for observability, automation, deployment and evaluation.
The core runtime defines agents with typed roles, tools, memory and model providers in one place, and a workflow engine describes multi-step automations declaratively instead of custom control flow. Supervisor agents route tasks to teams of specialized sub-agents and keep them in sync. Agents can swap between OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or other providers by changing configuration, attach durable memory across runs, resume streaming responses after a client reconnects, and use retriever agents to ground responses in a project's own data.
A companion MCP docs server teaches an AI coding assistant how to use VoltAgent. It is written in TypeScript under the MIT license.
