Wakapi

Wakapi is a minimalist, self-hosted, WakaTime-compatible backend for coding statistics, built by developers for developers. It collects statistics on the projects, languages, editors, hosts, and operating systems a developer works in, and can generate badges, weekly email reports, and Prometheus exports from that data; it is partially compatible with the original WakaTime service and integrates with WakaTime's own client tooling.

It can be tried through a hosted cloud service, or self-hosted by quick-running a release, running a Docker image with a persistent data volume, or deploying with Docker Compose or a Helm chart on Kubernetes. Either way, client-side tooling still needs to be set up separately to send statistics to the chosen backend. SQLite is used as the database by default, with MySQL or PostgreSQL available as configurable alternatives; sensitive configuration values can be supplied as environment variables or as Docker secrets.
