# WordPress Abilities Extended (WAE)

A WordPress plugin that exposes 86 MCP abilities for posts, pages, comments, custom post types, menus, patterns, media, taxonomy, users, settings and plugin management, so AI agents can manage a WordPress site programmatically.

WordPress Abilities Extended is an MCP capability plugin built on the WordPress Abilities API and the MCP Adapter. It exposes 86 public mcp-wp abilities on the MCP endpoint for AI agent workflows.

Ability modules cover full CRUD for posts and pages, comments, generic custom post types, menus and menu locations, block patterns with validation, media, taxonomy, users, full-site-editing block entities, allowlisted settings updates, and plugin or theme lifecycle operations such as install, update and activation. Advanced helpers include batch updates, cloning, custom REST calls and pattern import and export.

It also exposes rendered frontend HTML inspection to support selector-safe styling work.
