WRKFLW

A command-line tool with a terminal UI for validating and running GitHub Actions workflows locally before pushing them to GitHub.

WRKFLW

WRKFLW validates GitHub Actions workflow files for syntax and structural correctness, including cross-checking composite action inputs, and can then execute them locally using Docker, Podman, an emulation mode, or a sandboxed secure-emulation mode with no containers at all. Its terminal interface has tabs for workflows, execution, a dependency DAG, logs, triggers, secrets, and help, and it can watch files and rerun affected workflows automatically as they change.

It resolves job dependencies for parallel execution, evaluates GitHub Actions expressions and context variables, supports matrix builds, and can run individual jobs, reusable workflows, and local or Docker/JavaScript/composite actions, including secrets from providers such as Vault, AWS, Azure, and GCP. It can also trigger workflow_dispatch runs remotely on GitHub or GitLab and validate GitLab CI pipelines, though some features such as encrypted secrets and certain event triggers are not yet supported.

A VRAM-aware GPU job scheduler for a single machine: declare how much memory each shell command needs, and it places jobs the moment a GPU has room and reports when a guess was wrong.
